It’s So Easy
Things that are hard:
Remembering to find joy when you’re feeling afraid.
Trusting, trusting when the world doesn’t feel so trustworthy.
Watching your kids struggle and having to stand back and let it happen.
Not rescuing when it would be so easy to rescue.
Ignoring the feeling in my stomach that something isn’t right.
Remembering to work my program when I so want to do something else.
Things that are easy:
Loving.
Today, not much else.
Hang in there, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI hope the day gets better as it goes along. Take care!
ReplyDeleteNo matter how it happens, it's hard when marriages break up. I've been through it. It's hard on the kids. And it's hard to watch them talk about a wonderful dad he was when he was a rotten husband. Healing takes time. Give yourself that time. I'm glad you have a support group to help you through these hard times.
ReplyDeleteSending you hugs xo Some days are better than others.
ReplyDeletewell that is a tough list. I don't understand the ignoring the feeling in your stomach when something isn't right. I say listen to that little voice, but what the hell do I know?
ReplyDeleteWanna go for a walk with me and later have a glass of wine? :-)
Learn to trust God ; it helps a lot.
ReplyDeleteAlso listen to your body and mind; don't go against them!
A really hard list. I guess one day at a time is the only way you can do it. That and love.

Watching kids struggle is painful. I have rescued my son far too many times and now I've stopped. It's hard.
